GRAVITÀ
This series documents the Belice valley in Sicily that was struck by a destructive earthquake in 1968, causing devastation and claiming many lives. The project delves into the themes of falling, the earth, and the tension within the region’s social fabric. It also explore elements that defy gravity, such as repulsion and attraction, in an effort to reinterpret the forces that govern both nature and the inhabited environment.
Created in Sicily in 2024 as part of the Sicily Photo Masterclass collective project, this series contemplates the balance between destruction and resilience, grounding and ascension, while considering the invisible forces that continue to shape the valley's present and future.
